US gold rates today: September 23, 2022

Gold prices reduced by more than 1% - lowest since April 2020 on September 23.

Spot gold was down 1.7% at $1,642.79 per ounce.

U.S. gold futures fell 0.5% to $1,672.10.

According to experts, the renewed strength of the dollar is pushing gold lower.

The dollar increased 0.9% to a new two-decade high against its rivals.

Gold is increasingly becoming less appealing to other currency holders.

Spot silver slipped 3.3% to $19.01 per ounce and palladium dropped 3.6% to $2,091.91.

Platinum dipped 2.7% to $875.97, with all three metals heading for weekly declines.
