Why Tiger Woods turned down nearly $800 million Saudi offer to play LIV Golf series

Tiger Wood reportedly turned down an offer of nearly $800m from the Saudi-funded LIV Golf series.

The California golfer has only played a handful of tournaments since his accident in Feb 2021.

Woods has openly said that players who took money from Saudi-funded series are turning their backs on PGA Tours.

Having won a total of 79 PGA tournaments, Tiger Woods has a net worth of $1.1 billion.

He has earned $120 million for his results in PGA tournaments.

However, his biggest income comes from his Nike deal and other sponsors.

In 2021, Woods came first in the PGA Tour's new Player Impact program, receiving 8m dollars without even playing.
