The Crown begins filming scenes leading up to Princess Diana's fatal car crash

The Crown has started shooting scenes related to Princess Diana's untimely death.

On October 26, the Netflix show was seen shooting in the tunnel near Pont de l’Alma in Paris where Princess Diana died in a car crash in 1997.

Princess Diana was with her boyfriend, Dodi Al-Fayed, as they fled from the paparazzi that night.

Netflix has confirmed that Season 6 will not depict the crash.

However, they will portray scenes leading up to the event and the aftermath.

It's been reported that the production team was reportedly "on edge" to film Diana’s death.

‘The Crown’ Season 5 arrives on November 9 on Netflix.

The production budget of ‘The Crown’ has been reported to be $260 million making it one of the most expensive TV series.

On average, an episode of the show cost $13 million to make.
