Tax rebates start rolling out: When can you expect yours?

Three payments worth up to $1,050 are being sent out to millions of Americans this October.

Residents in New York, California and Illinois can look forward to the rebates this month.

Around 23 million Californians will be sent payments as part of the Middle Class Tax Refund between $200 and $1,050.

Illinois is sending out rebates up to $700 for residents who file their taxes by October 17.

Checks will include one or both payments and the minimum amount issued is $25.

All those eligible for the initial $125 ATR will automatically qualify for the $200 additional relief payment.

Indiana residents are eligible for the initial payment if the resident tax return for the 2020 tax year  was filed with a postmark date of January 3, 2022 or earlier.

Tax rebates in New Mexico offer eligible taxpayers up to $1,500 while Pennsylvania drivers will receive $3,000 rebates.

Payments are from $2,000 or $3,000 after DEP changed the maximum amount received from $750 and $1,000 for low-income applicants.

New Jersey is offering residents a property tax rebate, but payments may take as long as eight months to go out.

Residents from New Mexico have just days until the deadline to claim a $400 one-time payment.
