Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 70 years on the throne and is the longest-serving British monarch in history.

She earned tributes from people for being one of history’s great acts of constancy.

When the queen stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace she was greeted by a sea of well-wishers.

Three heirs to the throne stood with her: her eldest son, Prince Charles, grandson Prince William and great-grandson Prince George.

Queen Elizabeth II is the constitutional monarch and Supreme Governor of the Church of England with a net worth of $600 million.

The Queen is patron to 510 charities including Cancer Research UK, the British Red Cross and Barnado's.

She has supported hundreds of British charities and raised over $1.7 bn for the same.
