Prince Charles is new King of England after Queen Elizabeth dies

Prince Charles ascended to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

As sovereign, Charles will assume the Queen's titles as the Defender of the Faith and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
