Netflix fans threaten to end their subscriptions

Around 1,000 Americans aged 16 years and above recently participated in a survey about their streaming habits on Netflix.

According to the results, 25% of subscribers said they plan to leave Netflix over the rising subscription costs.

This development comes after the platform lost a whopping 1.2 million subscribers in the first two quarters of 2022.

Netflix's Basic one-screen plan costs $9.99, up 11%, with Standard and Premium plan that also surged 20% and 25% to $15.49 and $19.99, respectively.

Netflix has become the most expensive streaming platform, beating Amazon Prime Video which costs $14.99 per month.

Meanwhile, the company also plans to roll out an ad-supported tier possibly by the end of the year.

As of Q2 2022, Netflix has 73.28 million subscribers in the US and Canada combined.

Based on the market cap, the company's worth is $95.99 billion in 2022.
