The occasion has gained significant relevance in the country amid increasing number of Latino immigrants living in the US.

According to the Census Bureau, people of Hispanic origin are the largest growing minority in the US.

As of 2022, the Hispanic population in the US is almost 47 million.

It is projected to triple to 133 million by 2050, increasing from 15% to 30% of the total population in America.

Southern California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois and New York are among the states with the largest Hispanic population.
