Elon Musk says Twitter will not become a 'free-for-all hellscape'

Elon Musk has reassured Twitter’s advertisers about the future of the platform in a letter posted on the platform.

This development comes amid Musk's $44 billion takeover of the company.

Musk doesn’t want the platform to become a “free-for-all-hellscape where anything can be said with no consequences".

He further promised to rethink its content moderation policies and bolster “free speech".

He is also planning to cut back on content restrictions and reverse permanent bans of accounts removed from the platform.

These plans have raised questions about the potential impact on Twitter’s core ad sales business.

“Twitter aspires to be the most respected advertising platform in the world,” Musk added.

Elon Musk has a net worth of over $219 billion in 2022.
