Elon Musk has lost $49 billion in net worth since first offering to buy Twitter for $44 billion.

While the world’s richest man was busy announcing changes and trashing ‘wactivists’ on Twitter, his net worth was slowly plunging.

The share price of Tesla sank to its lowest this year, down 28% since Musk launched his bid to buy Twitter in April.

That wipes nearly $49 billion of his net worth even as the Billionaire Tesla CEO continued to remain vocal on Twitter.

His latest tweets showed him shift his political leanings from Democrat to Republican sending Twitter into a frenzy.

Musk’s net worth has dropped significantly since the $340 billion peak he hit in November 2021.

Despite the dip, Musk remains the world’s richest man with a net worth north of $210 billion.

His fortune is equivalent to 1% of the GDP of the US or 3 million times greater than the median US household income.
