Elon Musk has offered to buy Twitter for $43 billion. He has offered $54.20 per share in cash!

"Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it," Musk said in a regulatory filing on April 13.

In the first week of April, Elon Musk bought a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter.

The investment of $2.8 billion left him with 73,486,938 shares making him Twitter’s largest shareholder.

The richest man in the world has over 80 million followers on the social media platform.

The billionaire Tesla CEO was then to join Twitter’s board of directors but later decided against it.
