BLACKPINK makes history on Billboard 200 at debut No. 1 with Born Pink

BLACKPINK has become the first female K-pop group in history ever to top the Billboard 200.

On September 25, Billboard announced that BLACKPINK’s latest studio album 'BORN PINK' topped its Top 200 Albums chart.

This is also the first all-female group from any country to reach No. 1 since 2008.

'BORN PINK' has reportedly earned a total of 102,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on September 22.

'BORN PINK' is BLACKPINK’s second top 10 album after 'THE ALBUM', which also reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2020.

'Born Pink' has sold more than 2 million copies for the first time as a K-pop girl group album.

The album's main track, 'Shut Down', maintained the top position on Spotify for five consecutive days since its release.

BLACKPINK is among the highest-earning K-pop bands with an estimated collective net worth of $62 million in 2022.
