White House trolls GOP critics of student loan plan on Twitter

President Joe Biden announced a plan to forgive student loan debt for about 43 million Americans.

The plan forgives loan debts between $10,000 and $20,000 for borrowers making less than $125,000 a year.

Republican politicians have stormed social media calling this plan “completely unfair” and “reckless”.

The student loan forgiveness plan to impact 43 million Americans will cost $300 billion.

But critics of the debt cancellation argue it will contribute to already high inflation.

The White House retweeted a string of criticism from Reps Marjorie Greene, Vern Buchanan, Matt Gaetz and others.

The account highlighted the Paycheck Protection Program loan sums that the same politicians were forgiven by the federal government.

This included $183,504 for Greene, $482,321 for Gaetz and $2.3 million for Buchanan.
