Bezos Family Foundation pledges $710 million to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

The Bezos Family Foundation has announced a $710.5 million pledge towards Seattle's Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

The philanthropic pledge was announced by Mike and Jackie Bezos, parents of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The foundation will donate $710.5 million to the treatment center over the next decade.

This is the biggest donation the center has ever received and one of the largest to go to any single cancer research organization.

The money will go towards cancer research at the institution, supported by the Bezos Family Foundation for a long time.

The Bezos Family Foundation had $88 million in assets at the end of 2019, according to reports.

Last year, the Bezos Family Foundation gave $166 million to back programs at the NYU Langone Hospital.

Jeff Bezos, former president and CEO of Amazon, has a net worth of around $139 billion in 2022.
