Becca Balint net worth 2022: Vermont’s first woman and LGBTQ+ rep in Congress

Becca Balint is the winner of Vermont’s at-large Congressional District race.

She becomes the first woman and the first LGBTQ+ rep elected to Congress from the state.

Until now, Vermont was the only state that had never elected a woman to its congressional delegation.

The Brattleboro Democrat beat Republican nominee and self-described independent Liam Madden.

With 72% of precincts reporting on election night, Balint had 61.5%, while her opponent Madden had 28.8%.

Her win against Madden, an Iraq War veteran, was widely expected.

"After 231 years, Vermonters are sending a woman and openly gay person to Congress for the first time," she said on social media.

Balint will replace US Rep. Peter Welch, a Democrat, in Vermont’s sole House seat.

Balint makes about $13,96,690 per year ($742.92 per week) and has a net worth of about $5 million in 2022.
