Barack and Michelle Obama made their first joint return to the White House to unveil their official portraits.

The White House portraits were unveiled during an emotional ceremony at the White House.

Sharon Sprung, an instructor at the Art Students League of New York, was chosen to paint Michelle Obama’s official portrait.

Obama quipped that the official portrait captured Michelle looking “fine” and "stunning".

In return, the former first lady thanked Obama for his “spicy remarks”.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden attended the ceremony to unveil the portraits of the Obamas.

The Obamas have a combined net worth of $70 million in 2022.
