Adidas will continue to sell Yeezys without Ye: Popular shoes to be rebranded

Adidas announced it will continue to sell Ye's shoe designs, but without the Yeezy name.

This comes days after the sportswear manufacturer ended its sneaker partnership with Kanye West after his anti-Semitic tirade.

The company will be the sole owner of all Yeezy shoe design rights for existing and future colors and versions.

Ending the partnership cost Adidas more than $250 million in profit in 2022 and $500 million in lost revenue.

Adidas will be able to save nearly $300 million in royalty payments by selling the shoes in its own branding.

“Going forward, we will leverage the existing inventory with the exact plans being developed as we speak,” the CFO said.

Several other major brands, including Gap and Balenciaga, have cut ties with Ye for his recent statements.

Ye's net worth reduced to a mere $400 million in the aftermath of the controversy.
