2022 NFL Season: Green Bay Packers opening loss to Minnesota Vikings

The Green Bay Packers dropped their 2022 season opener to the Minnesota Vikings in a 23-7 loss at the US Bank Stadium.

The Packers fell behind from the jump and never got going, a frustrating repeat for an 0-1 start.

Justin Jefferson caught 9 passes for a career-high 184 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Jefferson helped Kirk Cousins put up a sparkling 118.9 passer rating with 277 yards.

Rookie receiver Christian Watson dropped a deep ball and AJ Dillon got stuffed on a fourth-and-goal and those failures haunted the game.

Injuries and lack of coordination, mental mistakes and some bad throws were definitely a factor in the game.

The Packers weren't at full strength going without key players Jon Runyan, Quay Walker, Krys Barnes and cornerback Keisean Nixon.
